This piece was created from a memory. One of my favorite activities is taking a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway. I love it so much that it was the only thing I requested for my 27th birthday! While the parkway features overlooks and mountain scenes, I equally enjoy the views in between and find them just as beautiful. Sometimes, you’ll come across a pasture of cows, other times farms or fields with freshly collected bales of hay. I painted this to highlight the parts of the mountains that are just as beautiful and are as much a part of the Blue Ridge Parkway as the overlooks.
